For a toothache, take painkillers as normal, gently clean the area around the tooth and rinse out your mouth with warm saltwater. Use a cold compress on your cheek to reduce any visible swelling.
Give us a ring as soon as possible as we will aim to see you within 48 hours. If you are unable to get in touch you can get a temporary tooth kit from a supermarket to repair the tooth while you wait to be seen.
If pieces of the brace protrude, but you can’t remove them, cover the protruding section with cotton or gauze to protect your cheeks and other soft parts inside your mouth. Remove any broken pieces if you can do so without causing any discomfort.
We charge £79 for a dental emergency assessment.
We keep several open appointment slots available daily for dental emergencies. We also offer emergency dental services outside surgery hours for our registered patients.
